ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE SOLUTIONS AFFECTING THE SPECIFIC CAPACITANCE IN ELECTROCHEMICAL CAPACITOR SYSTEMS
Last modified: 2014-10-18
Abstract
Influences of organic electrolyte compositions on the specific capacitance of carbonaceous electrodes have been investigated for electrochemical capacitors. The specific capacitance at model electrodes with smooth surface morphology depended on not only the organic solvent but also the ionic species dissolved in. So-called “Electrochemical Activation” of soft carbon has also been influenced by the composition of the organic electrolyte solutions.
