NOVEL PERFLUOROCYCLOBUTYL ARYL ETHER POLYMERS BEARING FLEXIBLE SULFONATED SIDE CHAINS FOR DIRECT METHANOL FUEL CELLS
Last modified: 2014-10-08
Abstract
Novel perfluorocyclobutyl aryl ether polymers with flexible pendant sulfonic acid groups were prepared by grafting and characterized by NMR and TGA. The thermal characterization data show that these polymers in acidform are stable up to 200oC under air. The resulting membranes show lower water uptake, swelling ratio and methanol permeability than that of the Nafion 115 membrane
