Copper Electroplating on Polyaniline-coated Textiles from Citrate Baths
Last modified: 2014-10-08
Abstract
Copper crystals were electroplated by a galvanostatic procedure after polyaniline (PANI) layers synthesized by an in-situ polymerization on polyester textiles. Electrochemical behaviors of Cu deposits on PANI/PET electrodes in citrate baths were studied by measuring the cathodic polarization curves. Cu depositing conditions were determined by comparing the polarization curves and the current efficiency results. Influence of current density on the surface morphology and composition of Cu/PANI/PET were evidenced by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis.
