PEMFC R&D activities at IVPL of Tongji University

Abstract

Based on a self-designed FCV(Fuel Cell Vehicle) simulation platform, the IVPL(Innovative Vehicle Powertrain Laboratory) at Tongji University has developed several different models, which include fuel cell power units, functional units in process system, control system, and hybrid drive train. As a core component of FCVs, PEMFC system is one of the focuses of IVPL. The paper summarizes its main R&D activities and results, and introduces PEMFC collaborative simulation technology, parameters sensitive analysis, faults diagnosis, and hydrogen purge strategy respectively. Both mechnism and application of PEMFC systems are covered.
